We Are Living In Dangerous Times: Things that should concern us all

We are living in very dangerous times, a period that will probably shape and determine what the next 50 years will be like for our country and for others around the world.  

There are a number of things that should concern the entire country, regardless of what side of the political, or social isle you’re on. Because, all of us will eventually be affected:

Fake news, outright lies and propaganda from Right Wing media outlets, especially FOX News & Sinclair Broadcasting, are shaping a huge segment of the American mindset.  

 

Many of the evils we have fought to overcome as a nation are starting to regain a foothold in society. And if true, patriotic loving, decent, Americans don’t stand up, I fear we will see suffering like we have never seen before in the history of this great country.   

Human Beings (Immigrants) are being attacked, vilified, jailed, and deported. There are tens of thousands of immigrants being held in detention centers (nothing more than shadow jails – private, for profit corporations) all over the country.  Next, it will be other minorities who will be attacked, especially Black Americans, who have always been demonized and the target of the racist in our society and government at every level.  Then the media will fall prey to these webs of evil that are spreading across the country like a demon spider out of control. They will be targeted to shut them up. I will not be surprised if new laws are passed specifically for this purpose.  Then the elderly, those of us who have given the most to our country and society the longest. These evils will seek to lessen the elderly’s financial burden on the system.  Then it will be the rest of us, especially those of us who speak up against these evil tyrants.  

When I look at everything that is happening: The Republican Party, the most dangerous organization in the world with their non-caring, self-serving, bowing to the rich to hell with the people approach to government, all the horrible financial policies being implemented, the attack on our civil liberties and freedoms, the horrific, destructive measures being levelled towards the environment, the outright racists holding positions and making decisions at the highest levels in our government, the lying, propaganda, “Russian” like Right Wing media outlets, fake Christians using God and religion to push their pathetic, ideology and evil, sickness into politics, I realize one thing my Fellow Americans; the biggest threat to our country is not Trump and these other entities, It’s our Fellow Americans. It’s the mindless among us, the racist, the selfish, those too lazy to learn and self-educate, those who are too easily influenced and romanticized by politicians, the media, money, corporate and government misinformation/brainwashing, they are the reason we’re in this mess.
